Jeremy’s Favorite Web Comics

All children are artists.

The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.

Just a for kicks and giggles, I’m highlighting a few of my favorite web comics. I won’t wax philosophical too much here, I’ll say this. There is something childlike,  imaginative, and inspiring in comics. These serial comics, published online, are some serious fun and I can hardly wait for the next comic to come out.

Destructor – by Sean T. Collins and Matt Wiegle

A story about a robot who battles a town full of crocodiles, a prison break for mummies, evil geniuses and goblins, dragons, guns and sea serpents! At about 23 pages so far, this story just gets bigger and crazier and more fun with every installment. The illustrations are gorgeous, rough and expressive.

Axe Cop – by Malachai Nicolle (age 5) and Ethan Nicolle (age 29)

Written by a five year old. Illustrated by his older brother. It’s like summer days when you used to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and play with action figures all day. Hilarious and awesome, this comic is well drawn and simple in black and white.
